the biggest cause of homelessness and a lack of housing in Australia is the walking away from responsibility of social housing by government in Oz - at all levels.

What total stupidity it was to think that private enterprise would look after social housing

there needs to be a return to government social housing - but it will take decades

there needs to be huge steps taken to address the acute situation as well as long term solutions

The longer the situation goes on, the higher the costs and the longer the problem will stretch out for AND the higher the risk that it drives Oz into being a poverty stricken country
