We used to go down fossicking when we were kids....go camp down there for the weekend.... since then when ever I get a chance love to visit the area with my own kids.... on a beautiful spring day it is obsolutely glorious.
the way I see it..... there is without a doubt gold there and lots of it.
Max Garling could see it when he bought in and thought that he could start to bring ore to the surface in pretty quick time.
Unfortunately, with all the water damage to alot of structure, major refurbishment and replacement has had to take place.
The Garlings have run out of that sought of cash to fund it and probably much to their dislike have to get outside investors involved to bring THEIR dream to fruition.
They are genuine people thats for sure but individuals can only do so much.
Since, then... it the old OH&S and things like Beaconsfield... now you are talkng more costs and more delays.
You cant go underground and start mining these days(nor can you expect) without all elements both above ground and underground in order with full ordanance in signed of by onsite OH&S officer.
so, it limbo time.... you can turn a nice dollar in limbo time
For me just occasionally (say once a month) bring a nice piece of ore to the surface witha big chunk of gold(visible)to the surface in a miners hand(both hands)
Cheers.... Thats my plan.... till end of year
