Hi chris,

NG ... all that stuff is fine, as it stresses the
positive attributes and potential of NG power.

However in reality, there's some serious
impediments to overcome, before NG
becomes a fuel for the masses. Stuff like:

Compression and distribution networks for
gas ... these will only be built, when oil
companies think the timing is right, so as
to maximize their returns in both oil and
NG markets.

Trucks and buses have been the focus of
NG to date, as the weight of compressed
gas bottles does not create a serious issue.

Not so, in passenger vehicles however,
where power-to-weight ratios are all
important for vehicle performance.

NG gas engines have been around for a
long time, in industrial and heavy vehicle
applications, but until the issues above
have been successfully addressed, then
NG use in passenger vehicles will lag
behind, dramatically.
