Why? I think investors can manage their own portfolios and buy other stocks to diiversify their holdings. I do not see the need for NHC to branch out into areas where they do not have a comparative advantage. There is nothing wrong with making as much money as they can and in the end returning capital. The agriculture stuff is small beer but it aligns with the rehabbilitation of mines. My initial investing idea was that traditional fossil fuels were under invested, under funded and would have higher deamnd for longer (I do not predict a war and or an energy crisis) ... I have no views on pot ash or agriculture and will divest if any significant investment is placed into anything other than coal. Too much execution risk.
