I'm sure we've all done it, but when you compare/map the coal price and SP trends over time it is like SP hasn't reacted much at all to the bonanza of FCF that has been raining down. Already one generous dividend received and another larger one (probably) on the way. And the futures have been quite consistent, notwithstanding the monthly ebbs and flows. No matter what policy decisions are made now, the next few years are looking good for SH. Remediation just cannot happen quickly.
All the COP26, ESG, CC coverage has certainly kept a lid on things. But reality has been appearing behind the crumbling facade, thankfully. That so many are suffering due to the poor decisions of their 'leaders' is something we should all keep in mind. So many businesses were destroyed from 2020, and now many more will be lost due to extreme energy prices.
If only that NA3 issue could be expedited.
