IMO few things. Oil down big on Friday so flow on from that, people are also starting to speculate energy prices may have peaked. Recession in The US is now 100 percent certainty after the last hike so speculators again thinking that may bring down energy prices. Also Oz government signed something increasing our climate change commitments bumping the target up for 2030, investors guessing has to mean something for coal. Also some profit taking, taking profits while they are there and also people just exiting stocks, interest rates going up so stocks generally have to go down. In a few months will be able to get 3 to 5 percent risk free from deposits so why be in stocks.
