I've done some back of the envelope calcs on this HY potential Div based on current guidance and prices. Could well be over $1 depending on payout ratio. Given the directors have reinevsted back in the business I would assume it will be well above 50% payout ratio.
I'm a little unsure how the excess franking will be applied, I haven't seen it used much in practice. Anyone that can shed some light would be appreciated. My understanding is it's essentialy used as a carry forward loss to the company that can then be applied to future earnings. This should result in a lower tax bill.
