From memory the repurchase was agreed for up to $75m of notes but they are free to buy earlier on market or not as they see fit.
At the end of December when the bank cash balance was reported at least half the notes had already been closed or converted.
I assume the significant cost implication is tax deductible so will help to offset the impact somewhat.
