the Au index is basically banks / resources the US index isn't; the US banks fell by much more than the bjg 4 which were. are secure after the GFC and had additional safeguards put in during the pandemic. the Au banks while uninspiring and expensive are ok. we are prepared and stress test.
(there has been over 500 US banking failures after the GFC and before now apparently - so l learnt today)
