    Hi Guys

Just doing the numbers here, if we work from the annual nhs spend of approx 220 billion dollars[ to put this in perspective that's not much less than the entire federal budget here], it would be reasonable they'd set, say, 1-2% aside for training , so giving us somewhere in excess of a couple of billion dollars training budget
    per year

Given that they're now introducing compulsory revalidation from scratch, it would be reasonable to infer that little infrastructure exists currently to facilitate this, hence a huge opportunity awaits for the best equipped company providing the entire service.

Let us not forget head office, ie , the royal college, have lobbed in already with medicvision, and that we cannot be too far away from sales to their shiny new facility currently being built or the one at torbay.

Also, given that the nhs is a single entity and a political football possibly dearest to the pommie voters' hearts, any party presiding over a verifiable method of raising training standards across the board would be able to claim much credit.

Also the american and scandinavian laporoscopic surgeon professional bodies are pressing for compulsory simulator training/revalidation to be enacted , looks like things are pretty close, but, as ever, the wheel turns only slowly!

However, nice to see the recent interest and hopefully more to come in the short, medium and longer term

    Good luck to all
