8 Mar 2022 — (Bloomberg) — Nickel spiked briefly above $100,000 a ton on the London Metal Exchange amid a short squeeze that's embroiled a major Chinese bank ... Two years later Nickel on the LME has traded down to US$16,000 a ton...and with it the NIC share price has gone from A$1.80 to 60 cents ...one third of its 8 March 2022 price. Nickel Industries will increase its attributable nickel production from 32000t in FY21 to what I expect will be 120,000t by FY25 ( when we allow for the now increased 13.8% interest in the high value ENC project). Now that nickel mines are closing where does the forecast production of Nickel Industries rank amongst the global producers?. Top 10 certainly. Top 5? Hopefully the CEO will shed more light on this question on Tuesday. I'm wondering if NIC captures soon the nickel industry zeitgeist. Do you?
