Li Fe PO4 ( LFP ) battery’s already made up 31% of EV batteries in 2022 and are expected to surpass NMC batteries in EVs by 2028. Tesla already uses LFP batteries in some models. They have no cobalt or Nickel, are cheaper to make , have a longer lifespan ( cycles ) and are less prone to fires. They are however less energy dense than NMC batteries. GLTAHs
