    Hi Prime,

I had a bit of a chat on the TON threads about a number of aspects of the TON resource model when it first came out (my main beef was the use of the zero cut-off grade) - one thing I do recall is that the visual estimates were only used for confirming the outline of the grade domains. Basically using them to help define the high grade zones. This is very different to using visual grade estimates in the assay database, which would never stack up under JORC. So IMO your assumption about this is incorrect.

Another comment I can make is that the consultant used by TON was Optiro, a Perth based consultancy - and I can tell you that this outfit is highly regarded and in fact the principal resource geologist, Ian Glacken is top shelf in the industry.

It was an interesting approach by TON to put out a resource estimate before such a nigh percentage of the drill hole results were available. At macro level I think the graphite deposits at both Balama and Nicanda Hill exhibit excellent continuity over very large distances, so I think that at the end of the day this approach will not have much impact on the end result (the final resource model used for a feasibility study), however the approach is a little messy from a project management perspective.

    That's my perspective anyway.

    Cheers
    Gosouth
