It will be superise if they would not buy back. people talk about yhe impact of short sells, i want to laugh. would the SP be shorted all the way down to nil? if they donot expect it bounce back, how would they make another profit. the shorters is doing well on scaring people, cause they need to pay interest on borrowing, the longer the circle, more of interest they would pay.
that is how and why they need skills and techniques to scare people.
i have never seen short seller make a penny in the long run. maybe the brokers did.
