I am neither a ramper nor a de-ramper. I am a free man! And as such I confess to all that I LOST MY NERVE when placing the order - so it will not appear on tomorrow's opening action. After several glasses of Pinot, I realised that my hesitation was due to the uncertainty regarding the 3 mines policy. Howard seems to be in favour of tossing it out, but Rudd has not said so. Rudd has merely reiterated his loathing of N power stations in Oz.
I hereby state that I believe that the recent bone-crunching falls in Ozzie U sp are because of this uncertainty. Note that U sp in overseas stocks in USA and points East have done much better.
I don't know what to say when we live in a nation that lets the richest mine in the world, Jabiluka, go to waste in a U boom - other than 'consider the political climate'.
The Premier of WA has just said there will be no change in his policy to allow no U mining in WA - and he's got 2 years to go! What phantasm possesses investors in WA U stocks? I know not. It is certainly not cold information.
Truly, I am considering switching my greedy attention to bio-engineering.
