If Fat Bloater has been shorting QBE as he suggests he has, he would be well up the proverbial creek at the moment.
I'm sure he'll claim he eased off just before the run up though. The trolls always love to hedge their statements, alluding to when they're shorting... and claiming they made a killing if the stock falls. If the stock rises as QBE has, they claim they were just putting forward their view, and had made money shorting earlier - but had jumped out "just in time".
A disaster is just around the corner indeed, everyone expects that - what matters is provisions, price of premiums, frequency... the list goes on.
