Szaba yes, it seems like some posters worked hard to contribute to uncertainty about the LNC SP amongst retail investors & this had the effect to support a shorting run. The sentiment effect could be reasonable? since up to 500 people read some posts here, and I guess some retail investors jumped out or were stopped out at this time. The process:
1) Come up with a negative subject line
2) Claim some loose technical reason for SP heading south (based on "TA")
3) Be controversial and bait other posters so that you become the spotlight and the thread stays alive.
4) Enlist apparently independent supporters to enter into debate with you / support you to give the postings oxygen.

When you see a motivated down-ramper who doesn't hold stock, you have to wonder what their motivation is to spend the effort: the love of trolling? Something else?

That is why it is important that these posts are challenged.
