Just repeating what Matteomc has said, but Street Talk speculates about Ruralco merging with ELD with elders shareholders taking 31.5%, elders hybrid holders taking 32% of the merged entity. There was a statement that Elders company secretary Peter Hastings had asked what stake First Samuel (major hybrid holder) has, and the question raised "Was Hastings thinking Ruralco had increased it's position on hybrids and was now considering a merger instead of a takeover?".
