my hunch is that the ALP conference will be a ripper for U miners located in SA. Rudd has already forshadowed that the ALP policy will the changed from a 3 mines to "it will be left up to each state to decide". The premiers of Qld and WA have already said they won't allow U mining (it might take a few years for them to change their minds) but SA has made noises that U mining will be allowed and is vital to their state as manufacturing is turning down.
