Re: why not mine the old working areas; well it's a good question! I presume because this is where 6.6m oz was produced from 1872-1917. But their May08 presentation does state that the old mines stopped in ore. So why not continue at depth? Maybe something to do with hassles working under the town itself? Need to confirm this.

Elsewhere Warrior is the first off the rank because it is the shallowest (starting 120m from surface). Hence cash flow is being generated while the decline is developed to 300m where the reef system becomes much more continuous along strike. Currently the decline is at 230m where production is set to ramp up from Q308 I think. Another 6 months full-time work needed to hit 330m depth but more likely 9-12 months as they switch between vertical and horizontal mine development (according to my conversation with ML last week and fading memory).
