I read all about this in the AFR. This (sp rise) is the response of desperate baby boomers realising that they don't have enough to retire on, jumping on to to anything with a trend on the ASX.

Sorry-only half joking. I think the AFR are probably right....the GFC has left a lot of punters out there licking their wounds, and many will try to get their cash back on more speculative but high yielding stocks if we do get a mkt run. But whether AVB sits in that category by years end will remain to be seen!
