Well BHP may well break the $26 barrier today ...
And given that we are likely to have another surge in shares, we could well see prices in the $28 - $30 range before Christmas if the AORD gets up to about 5400
BUT remember that almost every year that has a boom such as we experienced this year, is followed by a bit of a correction the next year.
How about some predictions for what the AORD index will be at the start of 2007
My prediction: 4500 ... which will put us back on the normal track
Worst Case: 4000 ... which is about 10% below what you could reasonably expect
Best Case: 5000 ... which is about 10% above what you could reasonably expect
And as this relates to BHP ... If you get good prices in the next few months, consider selling ... perhaps you can buy back a lot cheaper early next year, because BHP still has a lot of mileage left in it
