Agree, we are seeing some random trading activity which does not correlate with general market behaviour or trends. It is as if the market maker(s) are trying very hard to not provide any signals with respect to their activities:
is it accumulation?
is it disposal?
is it portfolio balancing?
is it technical trading?
is it tax related activity?
............... the list of drivers is endless.
Needless to say, we will come through this hiatus period in the not too distant future with a clearly defined mandate identified. This is what we are all waiting for.
Meanwhile, I'll go back to watching the paint dry!!!
