Take a look at the online offerings available. Say a company like Appliances Online, who brand themselves as "Australia's largest online appliance retailer". They have free next day delivery including on weekends, they also have a price guarantee and a call centre open 16 hours/day, 7 days/week. HVN have no online support and a 10 day delivery window, not much good when the fridge kicks the bucket mid-week and you don't have time to get to the nearest HVN store.
Having said that, I do see value in their property portfolio. At the moment you can pay for the property and get the retail business free.
