We have known for years about the railcar facility that has been rubbished by the FUDsters on this forum. Excellent to have at least 3 other projects, and the rest on Linkedin, that confirm that as well as the reo being superfluous, it is in fact seemingly detrimental in the colder climates. Or in the Hunter with sea on one side and subsidence everywhere.

This explains the early uptake in driveways where they went from steel to Strux fibres to EdenCrete to get around the problem. 'Concrete is perfect just they way it is' indeed?

But the other problem that is so carefully glossed over by the FUDsters is "A supported slab without reo isn't amazing."

Take an airport runway. Layer upon layer of carefully, expensively, engineered and constructed subbase. But EdenCrete's numerous attributes combine to change the playing field, as shown by the repeated use by Denver Airport. It is an extreme version of that railcar facility.

    "Proposed Ultra-High Strength Design
In an effort to extend the service life of the concrete and reduce replacement projects, an alternative design was proposed which increased overall thickness of the slab, required steel reinforcement, additional sub-base preparation, corresponding excavation, and most significantly, cost."

""“We couldn’t be more pleased with this. It’s not every day you get to reduce the cost of a project for a client almost 50% and still deliver to them the quality and reassurance they’re asking for in the service-life of the concrete. EdenCrete™ is a great concrete additive and we are excited to have discovered its existence. This technology could be a game changer for the concrete industry,” said Brett Cooper, (Owner and V.P. of CPI)."

So 30% of that saving is purely subbase based. And those figures have not taken into account life-cycle cost.

It has been a long and hard journey to get to this point, as is reflected in the SP. But as I've maintained all along, there are just too many irons in the fire to write EDE off, and they do seem to be throwing off a solid glow.

May 2022 be better to us all.
