the sp is an objective way of assessing progress and performance....hence the incentives are based in part with sp in mind in terms of options. however in terms of it being appropriate outcone measure...... it is one of the few ways a holder makes money so the frustration can be understood. however, lt investors know that the final outcome is contingent in reaching the end game ....production unlike traders. the issue is the dilution in between cause a dilemma....the individual retailers wealth decreases but the company valuation increases. at the the end of the day if performance is currently based on progress and exploration - management gets a tick. for financial management - up for debate. for overall company and asset valuation increase - tick. for sp prformance - for now a fail but this is fluid and extremely st. so it depends on what category one measures or bases kpi. this will vary on the type of investor or trader and his or her time frame. in reality most posts here are relevant even though they seem at different extremes because it comes down what an investor prioritises at the moment.
