You sound a bit like the negotiators from our Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, who are selling us out for trinkets in those diabolical "Free Trade Agreements" which the ALP used to rail against when they were in Opposition. I kid you not. But I am sure your are better than that at heart.
This idea that the Rose would not go ahead without the Chinese is just bull. NG has mentioned this idea, no doubt to justify his poor deal. Hardly any money has been spent by the Chinese on exploring it. NG has said he wants to develop it soon once he has some funds from the Morning Star operation. In essence we will fund the cost of developing that mine also and eventually get refunded for 51% of the cost by the Chinese. In essence we are so brilliantly funding the takeover of our own assets and thanking the Chinese for that experience!!!
