    NG is the cornerstone investor, and would have had perhaps 20% plus of MCO. He is unlikely to have any influence over the Chinese who will look after their own self interests.

    And to sell 26 million of his own shares and options to them means there is no net gain to that supposed cornerstone investment!!!! In fact the sale weakened the hold of the real cornerstone investor in MCO, which is NG.

    The 2008-09 annual report indicates that Nick Garling held 22 million shares and his father held 8 million shares at 17-9-09. In total the 30 million Garling shares represented 22% of MCO's issued shares. Hence a takeover of MCO was not possible without the agreement of the Garlings (or just NG alone).

    And to hand over control over two tenements to Ample Rise makes no sense.
