Perhaps my point wasn't explicitly explained. I support your position that the best person be appointed for the role but do so on the caveat that they represent all shareholders on an equitable basis. My experience is that institutions are often well (and strongly) represented on company boards, retail investor less well so ( to the point of not being represented). AJX shareholding is currently weighted to retail investors. It would be nice to have someone represent the shareholders (All shareholders) not just the insto's. My fear is that typically the influence lies with the insto's and the poor retail holders get turned over on an all too frequent basis.
