Lest assume for a moment that R Cottee and MacBank have access to far better quality information than we as shareholders have.
I asked a question at the October meeting about the Moomba pipeline and he replied "The Moomba Pipeline will be built"
Now assuming that RC was well seized of the circumstances that Australia was ( is) facing a gas shortage and the "someone" out there was going to have it built.
Clearly that pipeline would either go through or be very close to CTP gas fields, and again on the basis that CTP was the only party that could satisfy the gas shortage ( according to Rod Simms) at the present time, then clearly such an announcement must make CTP more valuable.
However, if the Govt finances the pipeline and allows fracking as a trade off. then That will allow unconventional gas to be pumped through the pipeline to the detriment of CTP.
However, RC said in October
"If others are able to get there, there is a lot room for everyone else to come.
We could see a substantial drop in the transportation, which should change the tyranny of distance from the NT and economically relocate our fields through backhauling to the outskirts of Sydney"
So, that MAY take at least 2 years if the Fed Govt removes the collective finger from the anal orifice.
That makes CTP in the box seat for at LEAST 2 years.
So the timing of the current SOA makes perfect sense.
So one may be very cynical and say, we are deliberately being shafted. All for the benefit of MB and others very close to MB.
As Cottee said in his October presentation'
"and you can see something is rotten in the state of Denmark according to the ACCC…"
We don't have to go any further than the state of CTP, to be able to smell something rotten !!
