I hear you, Red, but that doesn't fully explain the LME drawdowns, nor can it fully dismiss the relevance of LME inventories.
As so-called Class 1 Ni (basically LME-grade Ni, not NPI) demand continues to increase, the stranglehold (influence) that the Chinese have over the broader market -- esp. wrt the marginal supply (LME supply) of battery suitable Ni units -- will continue to erode.
