A company doesn’t need to, and in fact shouldn’t, disclose every confidential and incomplete discussion or consideration that it is having internally or with third parties day by day, step by step. If they did (more) chaos would result.
(Was the market informed about the GM discussions from the first moment Person A emailed Person B and said “Let’s have a chat?” - No, and rightly so).
A few hints have been dropped on what is going on in the background here and I am sure that something will emerge ifandwhen the timing is right.
