Riddle me this .............
POS CEO fixed salary = $550k and they have a MC = 30M
PLS CEO fixed salary = $1.14M and PLs have a MC = 12000M or 12B
Some directors and execs have been paid well beyond what is in their skill sets. They can't predict future metal prices but surely they know about long term averages, etc and should understand that "their costs" need to be below the long term average prices. Base case scenarios are far too optimistic - especially when China is building supply chains away from the West.
Nickel was first, lithium is currently underway (more being sourced from Africa) and next year it will be iron ore. Australia's reliance on mining, turning Unis into a business, no reservation policy for our own gas, etc - it is all setting us up to become a 2nd world country.
Don't worry - we can all become influencers or reality morons on TV
