It reads like China are going to keep investing in processing / smelting and Indonesia are going to maintain Ni prices around US$15-18k

The mentioned cost (AIC / AISC ???) per tonne is crazy low == "costs Harita Nickel just $5,225 a ton" - that would be the end of AU Ni mining / smelting unless the head grade improves by a factor of 3-4 times !!

Let me know what people make of this ......................

It's rare that I agree with TB, but China manipulating the Nickel market to control it is pretty close to the mark IMO.
