As we know last year was good for iron ore producers, this year it may shift more in favor of metals needed as alloys of steel, ie manganese tungstan chromium nickel.
why do I say this well the alloyed steels like 4120 have higher hardness and strength than mild steel therefore alloy steels are not needed in such large quantities to produce machinery.
THe manufacturers will see the percentage of difference in cost between mild steel and alloyed steels becomes less as the ore price increases making the cost of alloyed steel seem a bargain
