It's easy to be critical of the board, but keeping the doors open during an extended down-turn when there is no income and ongoing costs is no mean feat. Now that Ni is emerging from that downturn and blue skies are ahead, it's time to give the board the benefit of the doubt. Judgment time will be the 2018 AGM, when shareholders will be able to assess the board's performance in this new reality.
