Biarra, nickel went vertical because a large producer went short 100k tonnes.
They Had margin calls of hundreds of millions, you'll note it feel back or there calls were in the billions.
There was mention to try and borrow 100k physical metal from China, but the supply was not there.
The lme closed that day and cancelled all trades. It was closed for a few following days.
Strangely the price feel and that put the shorter in a safe position.
First time the lme ever cancelled trades. End result that trader was saved. Funny how things work if your rich.
So that jump was artificial. Same we saw oil negative per barrel, different senareo, but no buyers would forward buy oil then because all stores were full.
That was early in the covid.
Still nickel and all metals are starting a super cycle.
Sbr if they get sherlock up, will do well in the long term.
At the present price, could be worth just tucking them away, not fussing bout price and in 2025 check price.
Sherlock like cxo, is close to Port and infrastructure.
