This can't be true our resident expert on all things nickel has told us recycling is taking over from new mined supply. I mean where oh where will ecopro get their raw supply? Hmmm.
On the serious side now this fall is in Class 1 Ni which is all the LME quotes. As we all know Class 1's are the only suitable Ni's fot Batt materials. This is why the LME is looking at separate contracts for batt materials as I posted last night to inventise new supply, currently NPI and Ferronickels are tied to the LME contract price albeit with a discount reflecting the low grade nature of these materials. Also high grade briquettes of the purity 99.9% gain a premium to the LME quoted 99.6% Ni price.
