Hi Catstar,
Battery configurations are being played with for optimum performance in density and delivery. One thing for certain is the cobalt played in the mix of nickel and mg for stability is a huge critera and can not be phased out due to battery characteristic requirements currently in place but nickel is the predominant mineral. Unfortunately poster like to scaremonger that cobalt is not needed which is incorrect. But and here's the but, Sconi is predominantly a nickel sulpide mine with cobalt and Scandium credits at ruffly 8:1 mineral Ni/Co ratio at Kokomo, Lucknow and Greenvvale. Optimum mix for battery manufactures.
