Good piece from BHP on commodity forecasts. Not sure if posted already. Bright outlook for Ni but they highlight some sub-industries upcoming.

One of them is the NPI market. Yes some problems but this might be a dampner longer term.
Also, what about the disruptive lithium iron phosphate in batteries. Sure, it will take some time to get right, and the batteries might not yet have the same range as nickel based batteries, but is this a medium term risk to nickel as well ?
Lets face it, none of us here are commodity analysts and many so-called analysts get it wrong anyway. But one thing I know, where you get supply crunches the alternatives become more attractive. Telsa already looking at lithium iron phosphate batteries for their cheaper cars. These batteries are supposed to be "greener" than others.
So all I am saying is that forecasts are as good as the assumptions you make and these can turn out to be wrong pretty quickly. We can all say Nickel Sulphide is the bees knees, but for how long ?
