Looks like FEAR is back on the agenda ... the ugliness of the last few days globally can not be under-estimated ... Nortel bankruptcy , Citigroup delaying the inevitable by selling off the family jewels for next to nothing ... they will be bust within a few months ( I am sure they are already just don't want to 'fess up" ... ). All commodities collapsing under the weight of incredible demand destruction. The Santa rally that lasted for a few weeks and ended about 10 days ago was a great opportunity to take some money ( and hopefully profits ) off the table. Government bonds or cash will be the place to be the next few months .. at least. No time to try and be a hero ...
