SHFE 1509 Nickel Closes up 3.26% (Jun. 2, 2015)

SHANGHAI, Jun. 2 (SMM) - The most-trading SHFE 1509 nickel rebounded during Monday evening session in response to growing LME nickel. The contract opened at RMB 97,190/mt and then advanced to near RMB 100,000/mt due to longs entering market, after holding stably around RMB 98,900/mt. The prices ended the session at RMB 99,670/mt, gaining 2.95%.

Copper rallied in the US, but the dive in the dollar came too late to offer much support at the London Metal Exchange. US copper for July delivery was recently up 0.6% at US$2.74 a pound. In London, copper edged up 0.3%, tin 1% and nickel 0.4%. Aluminium eased 1.2%, lead 0.15% and zinc 0.3%.

  SHANGHAI, Jun. 2 (SMM) – The long-term outlook for nickel price is promising, Simon Bao, Deputy Marketing General Manager of Jinchuan Group, was quoted as saying. “Nickel price will rise to $18,000 per tonne for the long term,” Bao said at the Shanghai Derivatives Market Forum, saying current nickel demand is optomistic......full story Newssummary.
  
  Last post from me on Nickel prices until AVQ moves away from the appeal and into implementation stage, but all must agree that supply and demand is playing right into Ryan's hands with some attractive Off-take MOU's possible.
