It's what you leave out of your scenario of downward Ni price and decaying global economies that gives a one-sided presentation - specifically, you leave out that Ni price can rise due to demand even in a global economic downturn. Moreover, the downward line for Ni does zilch to predict the trend going forward - eg, demand may well see it rise, and several analysts are predicting same. The latter is the hypothesis you won't touch, which is your right, but don't be surprised if people see your one sided picture as emotion based.

Ok, so tell me how nickel price would rise in a global economic downturn? How would the price of something go up when its demand drops off?

Tell me how charts and technical analysis are not relevant even though all the large institutions use them religiously?
