Now the strike is over, not sure of when the Falconbridge return to work occurs, but it will be interesting to see the impact on our Nickel miners.
There is an intrinsic shortage of metal and with the burgeoning demand from Asia, the pressure will be kept on the price.
With the A$ backing off by 3%+, it theoretically means that spot Ni could drop to US$14,550 before an impact is felt.
However market perception will be the key here; and it is definitely worth remembering that Nickel commenced its run without the Falconbridge strike, so a -ve impact may not occur.
