From memory, Falconbridge supplies only 5% of nickel stockpiles but I think you're right about its closure having a considerable impact on nickel prices. How much though is anyone's guess.
It comes at a time when global nickel stockpiles have halved in a matter of months despite the soaring prices paid and as Chinese demand for stainless steel (of which nickel is a key component) continues unabated.
I'm not in AGM but have my hopes pinned on TIR which is scheduled to bring two low-cost nickel mines into production this year.
Those already producing the stuff - or those about to - stand to benefit most, although if a genuine nickel boom gathers momentum even the specs should have a run.
I hold TIR but also fancy the prospects of IGO, WSA and VRE.
