Nickel stocks are up, but compared to other metals the numbers don't seem so bad. LME stocks as of the 19th of December:-

324,175 tons Copper
233,750 tons Zinc
72,936 tons Nickel
43,850 tons Lead
Compared to the others, Nickel doesn't look so bad.
