That's not exactly true.
The Standard range Model 3 made in China uses LFP, but thats is it.
late last year Tesla mentioned that it would start using LFP batteries in all standard range model 3s, but I dont think that has started happening yet.
If you see a model 3 outside of China it almost certainly has a lithium ion battery.
