It’s quite simple. The Government couldn’t run a chook raffle and have no business trying to run a mine or anything else that requires astute capital allocation.
I have worked for a government enterprise and it was an absolute disaster. Trying to run a business that could compete, or get close to competing, with a private company, but run with a public service mentality.
We waste enough money on welfare, NDIS, aboriginal industry etc without wasting more money having government run mines.
