Those large nickel jumps were mostly caused be new discoveries-WSA,FXR,etc-commodity prices are only going to go up by small incremental steps-although its possible for nickel to put on 5% in a day(or lose the same amount next day).
Yes there is lots of idle copper capacity that'll get started up if the prices stay at high levels for a period of time.
Still I think resource stocks are going to be the place to be thru 2004.
