It's useful for the Attorney General to know what they're doing
The slowly unfolding train crash that is Nicola Roxon just lurches from embarrassing disaster to costly, improper, unethical catastrophe.

You can't overstate the importance of the role of first law officer. The Attorney should be measured, sedate, confident and assured. It's no place for politics.

The sub-prime and the bulk of her ministers especially Roxon have failed to understand the most important part of their jobs. They're there to govern. They wanted to be elected to govern. They got the job. And now they spend their time playing politics to advantage the Labor party and themselves. There's just precious little governing going on.

On announcing the settlement of James Ashby's claim against the Commonwealth on Friday the undergraduate Attorney said, ""Settlements aren’t about who is right or wrong, they are about bringing matters to a speedy conclusion.”

Have a look at a real lawyer's take on Roxon's actions.
